ITINERARY

Day 01: Delhi - Haridwar

  • On arrival at Delhi Airport or railway station, you will get greeted for your warm Meet & Assist session. 
  • Your Char Dham Yatra by Road commences with a scenic drive to Haridwar followed by a comfortable drop at the hotel.
  • In the evening, your spiritual exploration starts at the iconic Har-ki-Pauri, a revered spot on the banks of the holy river Ganga. Witness the heart-stirring Ganga Aarti. 
  • Do experience the joy of lighting a diya in the holy water. After this soul-soothing experience, return to your hotel for a peaceful night's stay. 

Day 02: Haridwar - Barkot

  • Take a 7-8 hour drive to Barkot covering approximately 220 kilometres. As you cruise through the scenic route via Mussoorie, make sure to capture the beauty of the landscapes. Enroute, make a delightful stop at Kempty Fall.
  • We recommend having your lunch here, as there might be limited dining options before reaching Barkot. This stopover offers breathtaking panoramas of the snow-capped Bandar Poonch mountains.
  • On arrival, get transferred to your comfortable hotel in Barkot. The evening is yours to relax and replenish your energy. Barkot, surrounded by apple orchards and the majestic Himalayan range, promises a peaceful overnight stay.

Day 03: Barkot - Yamunotri - Barkot

  • Your Char Dham Yatra by Road continues as you drive early in the morning to Jankichatti/ Phoolchatti. Your 6 km trek to Yamunotri begins, where you can choose to walk, ride a horse, or take a doli at your own cost. 
  • Arriving at Yamunotri, you have a unique tradition – cooking rice packed in cloth in the hot water of the hot kund. Pilgrims take this rice home as "Prasad". 
  • Surya Kund, with its thermal springs, and Divya Shila, a worshipped rock pillar before entering the Yamunotri Temple, add to the spiritual aura. Don't miss offering Pooja to Divya Shila and bathing in the warm water of Jamunabai Kund. 
  • After the divine experience of Darshan of pious Yamunaji, you return to Jankichatti and then back to Barkot for an overnight stay.

Day 04: Barkot - Uttarkashi

  • Today, you're heading to Uttarkashi, a town on the Ganges that sits by the Varun Parvat hill, where rivers Varuna and Asi come together. 
  • As you arrive, check into your hotel. Uttarkashi has some special places like the Manikarnika Ghat and a central Shiva temple. 
  • Later in the evening, take a trip to the ancient Vishwanath Temple. It's one of the oldest Shiva temples in Northern India and got a makeover in 1857. Right in front of the Vishwanath temple, there's a Shakti temple with a significant 'Trishul' (trident) believed to have been thrown by Goddess Durga at demons.
  • After your full pack day, take rest and recharge for Day 5 of your Char Dham Yatra by Road with an overnight stay in your hotel.

Day 05: Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi

  • Embark on a scenic journey to Gangotri, passing through picturesque Harsil village and enjoying views of the Bhagirathi River and the majestic Himalayas. 
  • Witness the submerged Shivling in the river, where Lord Shiva sat when receiving the Ganga in his matted locks.
  • After Darshan at Gangotri Temple, return to Uttarkashi for an overnight stay.

Day 06: Uttarkashi – Guptkashi

  • Today's drive takes you to Guptkashi, passing through Moolgarh and Lambgaon. Guptkashi, meaning "Hidden Benares," has mythological significance as the place where Lord Shiva concealed himself before moving to Kedarnath. 
  • Admire the beautiful Mandakini river at Tilwara while reaching Guptakashi. 
  • Check in at the hotel and in the evening, visit Ardh Narishwar Temple. Enjoy a peaceful overnight stay in your hotel.
  • Embark on a scenic journey to Gangotri, passing through picturesque Harsil village and enjoying views of the Bhagirathi River and the majestic Himalayas.

Day 07: Guptkashi - Kedarnath

  • After a medical check-up, proceed to Sonprayag and start the trek to Kedarnath by pony/ doli. 
  • Do not forget to carry personal medicines, warm clothing, and toiletries for an overnight stay at Kedarnath. 
  • Explore the sacred Kedarnath Temple, known as one of the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. According to legend, the Pandavas visited this serene spot to seek Lord Shiva's blessings after the Kurukshetra war. 
  • Immerse yourself in the peaceful aura of Kedarnath as you spend the night there.

Day 08: Kedarnath – Guptkashi

  • Early morning, after Darshan at the temple, trek down to Sonprayag and drive to Guptkashi. Check in at the hotel for a night of rest.

Day 09: Guptkashi - Badrinath

  • Embark on a journey to Badrinath via Joshimath, a sacred site nestled between Nar and Narayan mountain ranges. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. 
  • Immerse yourself in the natural thermal springs of Tapt Kund on the banks of the Alaknanda River, a ritual before entering the revered Badrinath temple. 
  • Your Char Dham Yatra by Road includes sites such as Narad Kund, Brahama Kapal, Sheshnetra, Charanpaduka, Mata Murty Temple, and more.
  • Explore Mana Village, the last Indian village before Tibet, and marvel at its unique attractions, including Vasundhara waterfall and Bhim Pul, a natural rock bridge over the Saraswati river.
  • Visit Vyas Gufa, a rock-cave where Ved Vyas is believed to have composed the Mahabharata and pauranic commentaries.
  • As the day unfolds, be part of the enchanting evening Aarti at Badrinath Temple. After the divine ceremony, retire for an overnight stay in the hotel, surrounded by the serene aura of this sacred destination.

Explore other captivating attractions within three kilometres of Badrinath Ji, including Maatamoorti, Charan Paduka, Bhimkund, and the sacred "Mukh" of the Saraswati River.
  • Marking the end of your day journey back to Pipalkoti, Rudraprayag, or Kirtinagar via Joshimath. Nestled on the slopes above the confluence of the Alaknanda and Dhauliganga rivers, Joshimath serves as the winter seat of Badrinath among the four 'Maths' established by Adi Shankaracharya. 
  • Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel, where the calming vibes of this sacred destination provide a serene backdrop for reflection and rest.

Day 11: Pipalkoti/ Rudraprayag/ Kirtinagar – Rishikesh

  • Start your journey to Rishikesh, a serene town on the Ganga surrounded by the Himalayas. Known as the 'place of sages,' it's steeped in spiritual vibes.
  • Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Then, dive into the spiritual wonders of Rishikesh. 
  • Visit key spots like Laxman Jhula, a 450-ft hanging bridge with a myth about Lord Rama's brother crossing the Ganga on a jute rope. There's also Ram Jhula, a larger version connecting Swargashram with Shivananda Ashram, and both are surrounded by various ashrams.
  • Explore Bharat Mandir, the oldest temple, devoted to Lord Vishnu, featuring a sacred Shree Yanthra. Don't miss the spectacular Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Ashram in the evening.

Day 12: Rishikesh - Haridwar - Delhi

  • On arrival in Delhi, our team will ensure a smooth transfer to either the Railway Station or Airport, marking the end of your memorable 12-days 11-nights Char Dham Yatra by Road. Safe travels!

Things to remember:

  1. Hotels are subject to change due to unavoidable circumstances.
  2. Inform about any medical or special conditions at the time of booking.
  3. Carry a valid Photo ID card (Aadhar Card, Driving License, Voter ID for Indians; Passport for foreign nationals).
  4. Kedarnath accommodations are on a triple or four-sharing basis in a group.
  5. In case of odd-numbered groups, the extra person shall be accommodated in the same room with an extra bed/mattress.
