Hawa Mahal
Hawa Mahal built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap. This pyramidal palace is a red and pink which rises upto 5 storeys. For an excellent view of the Jaipur just rise to the top of this archaeological marvel. The name of “hawa-mahal” means palace of winds and structures. One very interesting fact about the interiors of this place is that you would find no stares leading to the upper floors
City Palace
An extremely beautiful palace in the centre of the city. It is said that it was the royal seat of the Maharaja of Jaipur, who belonged to the Kachwaha Rajput Clan. In order to preserve the heritage of the bygone era, few portions of the City Palace have been converted into museums and galleries. Hawa Mahal
Our next stop after city palace , the Hawa Mahal. One of the most visited monuments in Jaipur. The Hawa Mahal means the “Palace of the Winds” and this name is in reference to the clever cooling system which propagates a gentle breezes through the inner rooms even during the intense Rajasthan summers. This ingenious design has been completely lost after a recent renovation in which windows were installed behind each of the lattice openings, so today the palace of winds has no wind.
Jantar Mantar
Our last stop in Jaipur is one of the most amazing scientific marvel of its time. A UNESCO world heritage site Jantar Mantar will spell bound you with its astronomical observation site built in the early 18th century. It has more than 20 main fixed instruments to measure time, latitude & longtitude and so many other astronomical measurements.
